Photography - Social Interactions

18/11/2019

This photography project has taken me a while to figure out what my basis idea is, which I have come to the conclusion that it is Social Interactions. I haven't really worked in a studio over my time at university and I felt that it was time for me to explore this process. So at first I took one model into the studio, this was to get used to working with a model and how to direct, change and set up lighting etc and just get some confidence working in that environment.

I then carried out another shoot in which I explored the use of two models, this is what made me figure out the basis of my project as I noticed that their interactions with each other and then to me were different, which made me think whether this is because of the relationship and understanding boundaries etc. This being because one model was a friend and one was my sister so being with my sister was a little more comfortable an easier to work with than a friend, which I found interesting because the friend I am very close with and I thought I would find it easy to work with. And then just the interactions between themselves was interesting for me to watch, I thought that this could be because of age and because they had only met once before.

So watching this occur I decided that I could some how control the shoot but watch how different people with different relationships react with each other, so to continue this I asked friends and family to work with me.
